  • Founder, Creative Director

Lianne Charlene is the founder and Creative Director of Chapter 35 (formerly Lianne Charlene Creative), a boutique branding and graphic design studio based in Edmonton, Alberta

Her creative journey began with a curiosity about what makes a brand truly resonate. She discovered that the most impactful design isn’t just seen—it’s felt. It tells a story that sparks something bold, familiar, or beautifully unexpected. This philosophy guides every project at Chapter 35, where storytelling, strategy, and intentional design converge.

Lianne holds a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University and began her career in 2009 as an in-house designer. She has since worked as a designer at boutique agencies, an art director for lifestyle publications, and a creative director for large corporations. In 2015, driven by her passion for supporting local businesses, she launched her own studio, where she now leads a talented team of women designers.

Beyond her professional work, Lianne’s creativity has deep roots in the arts; she trained in ballet for 16 years and continues to dance in her free time. She also channels her creativity into The Branded Good, a non-profit apparel company that raises funds for community causes. When she’s not designing or creating, Lianne enjoys traveling, discovering local food gems, and spending quality time with her husband, Dagan, and their two children, Remi and Elli.

For Lianne, design is more than a profession; it’s a way to tell stories, build meaningful connections, and create work that is both beautiful and strategically powerful.

She holds a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University and a Certificate in Communication Design from BCIT, and her work spans branding, creative typography, illustration, simple animation, and UI/UX design, with a focus on creating designs that feel playful, intentional, and memorable.

For Becca, design is more than a career; it’s a way to explore, experiment, and tell stories visually. She thrives on collaboration, strategy, and creativity, helping brands connect with their audience through thoughtful, engaging design.

When she’s not designing or sketching, Becca enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and biking, bringing curiosity and energy to every part of her life and work.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Design at Grant MacEwan University, Cadence approaches design with a focus on strategy, storytelling, and meaningful visual communication.
